Hello Opti-Mom Members! Happy Summer, Happy Camping/Cottaging, Happy Spending Time With Family and Happy Canada Day - oopsies, one day late! I cannot believe how fast the summer is upon us but thank goodness for all the fabulous weather (intertwined with some crazy nature created light shows!!). To celebrate my birthday half milestone, I am thrilled to announce that I broke my big toe while housecleaning once again reminding me to slow down and find someone else to do that task! In all sincerity, injuring myself has created a ton of life changing thoughts with respect to my personal and professional life. I've decided to pursue my Masters degree and focus on women leaving organizations and the ripple effect in doing so, I started to jot down ideas for a book that I have been formulating (focused on letting go and the freedom and power it can create) and I have decided to tell everyone who is important in my life why I am grateful for them being in my life and what they have contributed. Oh, and I got rid of my vehicle (a gas eater SUV) and have decided to hoof it or rent a car - my way of doing something positive for the environment. I am picturing myself on a bright orange Vespa tootling around Halton! Apparently there are a group of women who secretly aspire to do the same - you know who you are!!! There have also been some changes at Opti-Mom Headquarters! We will continue to conduct our corporate and community presentations focusing on Family Health and Well-Being. As well, our newsletters will change to become a little snazzier and become more interactive as we begin to shift and foster dialogue about the issues related to family health and well-being. We want to hear from you on the realities of the modern day family with respect to familial health and balance. I will also begin sharing some tips, activities, etc. to help you create family balance and harmony as well as incorporate information from other Opti-Mom community members! We are so excited about the changes and welcome your feedback! Please note that there will NOT be a newsletter in August as we ramp-up to bring you the new version! This Month's Quote: "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
